One Hour Family Law Initial Consultation for £120

Please give us a call on 01273 684666 or send us an email to see if we are able to help you.  As we are both a firm of solicitors and a dispute resolution service we are able to offer a wide range of family law services and have extensive knowledge and experience.

In an initial telephone call we would be able to discuss funding options and indicate whether you are eligible for legal aid for a family case; and/or eligible for legal aid for family mediation.  We can also explain the documentary evidence that is required to obtain for legal aid for a family case.  Evidence of domestic or child abuse which is documented is required as a gateway requirement before financial eligibility for legal aid may be assessed.

If we are not able to help you we will try and refer you to where you may be able to access help/advice.

Harney & Wells also offers a  one hour initial consultation at £100.00 plus VAT at 20% so a total of £120.00.  This includes a letter to you to confirm the advice given during the appointment.  During such an appointment we would be able to advise you about the applicable law and possible outcomes; the various ways your case could be funded; and give a general estimate about the costs involved.

You would not become a client of the firm until you decided, after the initial consultation, that you wished to instruct Harney & Wells.   We don’t become involved in any further work until you decide that you want to instruct us.

With regard to our dispute resolution service, in particular mediation, the initial assessment appointment is free if you are not eligible for legal aid for mediation.  With legal aid for family mediation there is no gateway requirement, you just have to demonstrate financially eligibility for legal aid for mediation.

Our phone lines are open 9 am. to 5 pm Monday to Friday inclusive – so give us a call on 01273 684666 to see how we may be able to help you.  Alternatively, you can send us an email or use our contact form.
